I started at this photo for a very very long time.
trying to decide whether or not I loved it or hated it.
in the end, I decided I loved it.
This love is strange though. I love it for several different reasons some of which make no sense.
This photo probably makes more sense to me than I lot of others. If you know Ashley personally you would understand.
This is Ashley.
Ashley is about 16
While I was taking her photos, she was extremely calm and quiet doing almost exactly as I asked. But when I turned my head to talk to her mother and I looked back I could see an eagerness in her eyes that said she wanted to run away across the field away from my camera as fast as she could. She knew she shouldn't though.... It made me smile. I could see the being that was caught between being a child and becoming an adult.
